The MISSION of the Lower Savannah Workforce Development Area (LSWDA) and Board is to: "provide workforce investment activities, through a local workforce investment one-stop delivery system, that increase the employment, retention, and earnings of participants, and increase occupational skill attainment by participants and, as a result, improve the quality of the workforce, reduce welfare dependency, and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the six county region."

The regularly scheduled Workforce Development Board meetings are the first Tuesday of every other Month. The meetings start at 2:00PM at a designated location. Notification of the meetings are emailed to all Board members and interested parties. The announcement is also sent to the local newspapers.
